Contemporary Black & White Portraits is the name of a photographic workshop held in Santa Fe, at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, between the 3rd and the 10th of August 2008, by Paul Elledge and Leasha Overturf.
A group of 12 passionate photographers meet there for the first time, to learn from Paul and Leasha a new approach to the beautifull Art of Portraiture.
After 7 intense days of lectures, demos, studio and on location photography, critiques and discussions, we all came to a new understanding of what it is to make pictures, in this specific case, to make portraits.
This blog will be a private space where we will publish some of our images, and share our opinions and critiques regarding each others portraits.
Let's see how it works.

Great idea for the blog. I placed you on my favorites. I too am a great fan of B&W portraits. I still use a Mamiya 645 or my Olympus OM1. I process the film at home and scann the negs. It is a huge challange and fun to create that B&W shot that you are happy with. Good luck and look forward to more posts from you and your friends. Thanks Ken
